What is a hydrocoele?
A hydrocoele is a collection of fluid around the testicle that causes swelling of the scrotum.
What happens during surgery?
The fluid is drained and the surrounding sac is repaired to reduce the chance of recurrence.
Recovery
Most patients return home the same day. Swelling and bruising can persist for several weeks. Most men return to work within 1–2 weeks.
