Robotic-assisted surgery represents a significant advancement in minimally invasive urological surgery. Using the latest robotic technology, Dr Ngweso is able to perform procedures with enhanced precision, dexterity and visualisation.
Robotic surgery allows for smaller incisions, reduced blood loss, less post-operative discomfort and faster recovery times compared with traditional open surgery. This approach is commonly used for a range of urological procedures, enabling patients to return to their normal activities sooner while achieving excellent clinical outcomes.

Dr Ngweso specialises in the management of kidney stone disease and is the clinical lead for stone surgery at Monash Hospital.
Using modern minimally invasive techniques, including endoscopic and laser-based procedures, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), he aims to achieve complete stone clearance while minimising discomfort and recovery time.
Each treatment plan is tailored to the patient's individual circumstances, with a focus on both stone removal and stone prevention strategies.

Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) is internationally regarded as the gold-standard surgical management for men experiencing urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate.
HoLEP uses a precision, high-power laser to remove or enucleate obstructing prostate tissue, improving urine flow and relieving bothersome urinary symptoms.
HoLEP is suitable for prostates of all sizes and offers significant advantages over traditional TURP or Greenlight Laser, including reduced bleeding, shorter hospital stays, improved functional outcomes, significantly more durable long-term results and a lower likelihood of requiring future treatment.
