    The majority of Dr Ngweso’s procedures are charged below AMA recommended fees, and Dr Ngweso is a Known-Gap provider for most procedures, helping to minimise unexpected out-of-pocket costs.

    Some more complex procedures may attract a higher out-of-pocket fee. These fees reflect the complexity of the procedure, specialised training required and the additional care and follow-up involved.

  • Yes. Dr Ngweso is happy to see patients who would prefer or need to have their treatment through the public hospital system.

    Where appropriate, Dr Ngweso can arrange for procedures to be placed directly on the public waiting list at Monash Hospital, where he also works.

    Waiting times in the public system can be less predictable and depend on clinical urgency and hospital capacity. Procedures may be performed by Dr Ngweso, another surgeon or by a trainee under appropriate supervision, depending on the nature and complexity of the procedure.

  • Dr Ngweso is committed to providing timely access to specialist care.

    New referrals are generally offered an appointment within two weeks, with urgent cases prioritised.
